[firstname], Science Fair Judges Needed

Hello [firstname],

ECH has been asked by the San Leon Elementary School (K-4) in the Dickinson ISD to help with its science fair. The Fair will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013 at the San Leon Elementary (2655 Broadway, San Leon, TX 77539).

This will be great practice for those of you who are interested in judging for the Science and Engineering Fair of Houston at the end of this month!

The school will be providing a light breakfast at 8:30 and judging will begin at 9. Since the judging tends to take all day, the school will also provide lunch for the judges.

The school has tried to make the judging process simple. The judges are split into small groups and each group is assigned to judge the top five projects in five categories and a grade level. They provide a checklist to fill out and then the students each give an oral presentation of their project with a Q & A session following. The school even tabulates the scores!

Last year a couple of the 3rd grade projects were good enough to compete on the SEFH Junior level!
